Denver Steele Street
Small, separated lawn areas, old concrete walkways, broken-up patio, and sagging aluminum patio cover prevented enjoyment of the area, and was used mainly by the family dog and for general storage. Tumbled paver stones were used for the driveway and patio, brick pavers for walkways and stairs. A gabled wooden pergola above the patio provides an airy living space, its color matching the house and garage trim, unified with the new fence. The sound of water flowing through the rocks enhances the small, backyard space. Ceramic pots and lighting were located in key areas, front and back. Ornamental trees and evergreen shrubs were added to the front yard to soften the stark view of the house and for winter effect.
